What Success Looks Like in This Role
- Own the Campaign Lifecycle: Take full responsibility for the end-to-end success of paid search campaigns: developing strategy, building campaigns, executing optimizations, and delivering performance reporting. This includes everything from audience research and keyword targeting to budget management, A/B testing, and post-click analysis, with a primary focus on Google Ads.
- Creative + Technical Management: Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling ad ads while owning the technical setup, structuring accounts, building campaigns, managing budgets, and developing bidding strategies with precision. Ensure every campaign balances creative impact with data-driven execution to maximize results.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor campaign KPIs and performance trends, running A/B tests and experiments to uncover improvement opportunities. Translate data into actionable insights that refine targeting, creative, and bidding strategies to maximize ROI and achieve client objectives.
- Manage Budgets and Resources: Oversee campaign budgets closely, ensuring spend is allocated effectively across channels, campaigns, and audiences to maximize ROI. Balance priorities across multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency environment, making sure tasks are completed efficiently, deadlines are met, and resources are used strategically.
- Tailor Client Solutions: Develop and present customized PSA strategies aligned with each client’s unique goals, industry, and competitive landscape. Adapt approaches for complex business models, including multi-location and franchise accounts, ensuring campaigns directly support both local and national objectives.
- Identify Growth Opportunities: Proactively uncover new opportunities for campaign expansion and performance gains, such as untapped keywords, audience segments, bidding strategies, and ad formats, particularly within competitive e-commerce and lead-generation environments.
- Act as a Trusted Consultant: Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, translating complex PSA concepts into clear recommendations and confidently guiding decision-making, including leading QBRs and strategy presentations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (client success, analytics, UX, development, and strategy) to align efforts and ensure seamless execution of PSA priorities. Write clear briefs for both content and technical development teams.
- Conversion Focus: Collaborate with UX designers to identify CRO opportunities in the post-click experience: analyzing landing pages, user flows, and on-site behavior to uncover friction points. Connect campaign performance directly to meaningful business outcomes like leads, sales, and revenue growth.
- Monitor the Competitive Landscape: Track competitor ad strategies, budgets, and messaging across platforms. Use insights to inform bidding, targeting, and creative adjustments that keep campaigns competitive and effective.
- Produce Executive-level Reporting: Prepare Executive-ready reports and presentations for our clients, highlighting key findings, recommendations, and wins.
- Champion Innovation and Best Practices: Stay current on platform updates, automation capabilities, and emerging paid search tools. Test and implement new strategies, features, and workflows to maximize campaign efficiency and results.
- Represent the Agency Externally: Contribute to industry thought leadership by creating content such as blogs and webinars, showcasing expertise, and promoting the agency’s PSA capabilities.
What Sets You Up for Success
- USA-based only
- 4+ years of paid search experience, preferably in an agency setting.
- Proven track record managing high volume and high-performing Google Ads campaigns (Bing, LinkedIn, or Meta Ads a plus).
- Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications.
- Proficiency with analytics tools to track performance and uncover optimization opportunities.
- Proficiency with AI tools for optimizing efficiency.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make sound, data-driven decisions.
- Strong, client-facing communication skills for presenting strategies and results.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
